so, i got back from the edinburgh international harp festival yesterday, and 'twas, as always, awesome. i tried out some gorgeous harp, went on a sheet music binge, and even got some nice photos at the caravan park i was staying at. i also went to hobbycraft, which sells massive canvases. there were some that were a metre square, but there was no way that was going to fit in the car, so i went for one half the size. the plan is to paint both my cats on it.

and therin lies the problem.

you see, my cats are officially the world's worst models. yes, they strike up poses. but, the minute they see a camera lense pointing at them, they come over to investigate and generally beg the person behind the camera (i.e. me) for food. and dang goes my shot.

so, at some point i'll get these reference photos, and then i'll get this canvas done. until then, i shall entertain you (hopefully) with some of the stuff i've been working on at school, which i'll post tomorrow... if i remember
